There are not many entertainers around today with the experience, versatility and history as Ron MacDonald. As a teenager, Ron's first band was called the 'Triumphs' consisting of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Members Jack Casady and Jorma Kaukonen. (Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna).

Ron MacDonald's personal and musical relationship with the legendary guitarist Danny Gatton continued in various different bands spanning over a 30 year period.

Ron MacDonald and Nightwatch have toured all over the United States and are going strong today.

Fascinating interviews with Danny Gatton , Jack Casady and Ron MacDonald can be found in the Best Selling Book, 'Capitol Rock' by Mark Opsasnick at capitolrock.com.

Ron and Danny Gatton's  first recordings,  'Trouble In Mind'  and 'Beggarman' can be heard on Gatton's web site located at dannygatton.com  by clicking on Audio & Video and scrolling down to the song title 'Beggarman' and 'Trouble In Mind'. The Offbeats'; a very  rare collector's item that demands a high price today.

In addition, another rare recording 'Moonlight Cruise' and 'How's Your Sister' recorded under  the name 'The Solemates' with Danny Gatton (guitar), John Koslin (bass & vocals), Dick Heintze (Hammond B-3),  Roger McDuffie (sax), and Ron MacDonald (drums & vocals) is  a very rare collector's item.

A MESSAGE FROM RON

"I've always felt extremely fortunate to be able to travel and meet such wonderful people as a result of my musical career. More than anything, I feel blessed to have known and played with what I consider the BEST IN THE BUSINESS!!! The unbelievable Dick Heintze (Hammond organ & piano), my friend from kindergarten Jack Casady, an unbelievable base player and the "HUMBLER" guitarist Danny Gatton. Not only as band mates, but as very good friends. Thank you guys and God Bless!!!!! "

Left to Right: Larry Struthers - Dr. Naked (tenor sax), Don Stapleton (baritone sax), Ron MacDonald (vocals), Danny Gatton (guitar), John Previti (bass), Dave Elliott (drums)
